Shorter towers certainly cost less, but taller towers are the best option for many reasons. First, the turbine sees the highest possible wind speeds in your area which means dramatic increases in energy production. (One of our customers saw 50% greater production after adding 40 feet to the tower!) Second, there is less wear and tear because of reduced turbulance. We provide pre-engineered towers and adapter plates from GlenMartin, Inc. and ARE. These towers have been designed to handle the harshest wind and ice conditions. With a properly designed foundation, you will have a worry-free and maintenance-free tower for decades to come.
